Android S3 replacement battery compatibilty question

A

AC Question

I have one of those Straight Talk Galaxy S3 SCH-S968C smart-phones but I find myself wanting a larger battery since the stock one just does not cut it for me. Only 2100 mAh.

Looking on Ebay for extended batteries I find plenty of options but they say they are for models other than mine. But are still for an S3.

Can I still use them? They look like they will fit and the voltage is 3.7 V instead of mine being 3.8 V.

The ones that say they are for my model are more expensive generally and don't even come with a charger. I don't think my old charger will be able to charge a larger battery very quickly.

Any insight would be great!

In the days of removable backs, I used to put the fattest battery into my devices, used the standard charger and never had a problem. I quite like a bulky phone and it's great that I could just dump the battery if the phone misbehaved..
