I got a galaxy s7 a few months ago and the battery life was incredible. I could be using it all day with high power draining apps and it would still last until bed time. On days I'm not using it as much it would last 2 days easy. Today I unplugged my phone at 6 AM only to have my phone down to 25% battery by 9 AM. My phone is sitting on my desk playing music softly but looking at the battery usage my music is only taking 6% of the battery. Please help, this is getting really annoying over the past few days.

    Thank you

Are there no clues, or indeed direct indications, about what is using the charge, in your battery usage stats?

    It says android system 28%
    cell standby 12%
    10245 12%
    10261 12%
    android OS 7%

it appears these are taking the most every day but I don't know what they are or how to stop them.

Okay. If you tap Android System in the battery usage stats, you should see something like this:

Can you attach a similar screenshot? Here's how if you're unsure:

Welcome to Android Central! The relatively high Cell Standby percentage suggests poor signal, which can drain battery. Show us more stats. Charge up to 100%, then let it drain to 20-30% with normal usage, without charging in between. Then show us:

    1. The main Settings>Battery screen.
    2. The fullscreen battery graph screen (which shows Awake time and Cell Signal Strength).
    3. The Screen category (to see total Screen On time).
    4. The Cell Standby category, if present (to see Time Without Signal).

You might have to install a 3rd party battery monitor, like GSam Battery Monitor, to get the Cell Signal Strength graph.

Add the learned ones above stated, do the investigation suggested.
My S7 has amazing usage difference with the power saving function on! It's almost half as long again with not especially harsh limits in function or speed... Works a treat! Welcome to the forums 😊
