Did not factory reset, should I be worried?

A

AC Question

I damaged my Galaxy S6 and had the protection insurance. The screen was damaged so badly that I had to send it in and then was sent a new device. I totally forgot to factory reset the phone and take out the sim card before I sent it in. Should I be worried, because I haven't been able to stop thinking about someone using information on the device for malicious reasons.

You should be ok, I'm sure they get hundreds of returns and just recycle them. You would have to be very unlucky to have a bad employee get their hands on your device, replace the screen, then poke around in it looking for data...
It's not like you had any opportunity to erase stuff unless you have remote erase switched on via a security app...
