My wife's Samsung S6 has locked her out now requiring a password.

My wife Samsung S6 has never been password protected. She placed the phone in her purse and when she pulled it out, it requires a password. We have talked to ATT and Samsung and were out of options except to do a factory default reset. I'm hoping you can help unlock this phone and save all the data.
