Why does my On5 change my text when I paste?

Whenever I try to paste some of my text I write in my memos into a different app/site, it changes my characters. Like my apostrophes will turn into something like "apo&s". It's very annoying because I then have to go and and try to fix these. I didn't have this issue with my Galaxy S7.
