Hello everyone, I just bought a Samsung Galaxy J1 mini prime and I noticed that the battery drains on standby. I had 83% and left it on standby overnight and then there was only 45% left. It only drains slowly whenever I use it. I'm new to android this is my first android device. I sent some screenshots, at that time the phone was on ultra power saving mode.

Welcome to the forums! Sounds like the battery has reached the end of its natural life there. If no rogue apps show up in battery history then maybe replace the battery before it just dies.

I just bought this a few weeks ago,so I assume the battery is brand new. Could it be because I didn't charge the battery the first time I used it?

Also everything else seems to be normal, charging time, using the battery. The only issue there is that it drains when not in use

The screen usage is pretty high. What is the screen timeout? It may not have been turned off. Or something.

Charge to 100%, let it go down to 50%, then check the battery history to see what drained the power. If there is an app, uninstall it.
Lithium batteries don't like being fully discharged and that can kill a new battery.
Another trick is boot up in safe mode and see if you get the same kind of battery drain. If yes, then it's systemic or battery. If no, you have an app misbehaving. Try that and come back to tell us how you went. If no joy, we'll trouble shoot further...
If you have another battery, try that in your device...

Turn device off. Press power until the logo appears. Release power and press and hold volume down until safe mode appears in bottom left corner. Release. You are in safe mode.
Sorry Chanchan, didn't see your response there... Can't see any screen shot here...

That doesn't look too bad..( The screenshots have appeared)
The bright screen will chew your battery very fast! Dark themes and wallpapers will help, as will dimming screen brightness..

The screen brightness was half. Also the screenshots, that time it was in ultra power saving mode and it still drains
