I'm new to the site, sorry if I'm posting in the wrong place.
I have a Samsung Galaxy J5 (2016) and the other day the bottom half was dropped into water. I quickly took it out and dried it, but after that I had to press the home button little harder than usual but it was still working. This morning (1 day after the incident) I noticed that it isn't working at all. I checked yesterday if water got into the phone and it didn't and everything else is working perfectly. What can I do?
    Thank you

Take it to a repair shop, the tech may be able to clean/replace the switch

Welcome to Android Central! Just because the top half of the phone didn't get wet doesn't mean that the water exposure couldn't have caused problems. I agree with Tim1954 about taking it to a repair shop, but be aware that they might find more extensive damage.
