App doesn't recognise downloaded files

AC Question

Hello please help
I'm using an app called "Calm" and had to download audio and video files to use it. The downloaded files work on my old device. I want to transfer the app PLUS the downloaded audio and videos to my new device. I don't want to "re-download" the audio and video files (there are too many).
The app works just fine on my new device but it does not recognise/pick-up the audio and video files from the old device. I tried placing the downloaded audio and video files from my old device into the exact same folder names of my new device, the app still does not recognise them. Please help.

Welcome to Android Central! Did you have to download those files using the Calm app, or did you just use the browser to download them? Which directory are those files located in?

It might have to do with the fact that you're putting them on an SD card. What if you copy them over to the new phone's Internal Storage, using the same directory there?
