why does my phone go to voicemail after only 4 rings also my phone just turns itself off at times

A

AC Question

my phone used to ring long enough for me to answer it, but my server iinet said optus whos lines they use now sends everything to voicemail instead of a text message. surely this shouldn't lessen the amount of rings. As for the phone just shutting itself off, I have no idea why, would really appreciate an answer that i can use to get my ring time back,

Welcome to Android Central! Which phone? Have you already asked iiNet if they can adjust the number of rings?

When the phone shuts itself off and you power it back on again, is the battery abnormally low?

The number of rings before going to voicemail is controlled by the carrier owning the voicemail system. If you have a special voicemail app from the carrier, you might be able to set the number of rings using the app. Normally you need to call the carrier and get them to update your account for you.
