Right so my battery has been draining pretty quickly over the last couple of months ish, I don't quite know when it started. I've bought another battery and cradle which drains quickly anyway so it's not that. Today, I turned my phone off and it was at 75%, turned it back on 3hrs later and it was 60% surely that's not normal, the phone is off. I have tried safe mode for a day but it drained quickly as well so it's not an app I've downloaded. Any suggestions, when I bought this phone I was planning to keep it for some time and I haven't had it long, just over a year now.

What do your battery usage stats indicate as using the charge?

    What version Android.
    Change the charger and cable.
    Drooped phone might jar contacts.
Post pic of high battery apps.
Reset the phone with full wipe
    Turn off background refresh.

    1. Screen, phone idle and Android OS are the biggest with 34%, 14% and 9% respectively. Edit: my brightness is on automatic and I tend to turn it down when I can manage with a little less, phone is normally on vibrate unless I use battery saver which turns the phone to silent and changes it to silence on tap.

    2. LG V10, sorry forgot to say. It's 6.0, I've changed the cable it takes forever to charge like 6hrs and drains at the same rate. Thinking a reset is a pretty drastic thing to do (I'm way too lazy to backup and I just don't have the time) I will try turning off background refresh but I did install greenify for a while (if that's the one that stops apps) apart from getting no notifications which was very annoying it did nothing.

    3. Signal is fine, 3/4 bars mostly I don't tend to have many problems

It may be that a new kernel was packaged with the update and may take a few days to settle in. Although by the time that I am writing this, there should be noticeable improvement.
