Why can't I receive emails on my LG3 phone

[AC Question]

I can send email but not receive emails message pops up server temporarily unavailable. Try again later. 3 days pass still get same message. Emails receive and send were working perfectly fine 4 days ago. Very frustrating. I have tried everything that I could find on internet. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Which version of android?
Which carrier?
Which email app?
Which email provider?
Which email protocol (pop3, imap, exchange) are you using?

I am having the same problem for the same amount of time. My phone is an LGMS395. The email account is an IMAP account through Hostgator. I think my Android System is version 4.4.2.

Please help.
