Can I use my USB-C cable with normal power adapter?

Hey,

my new phone supports Fast Charging. With it, I also received a new USB-C cable and an Adaptive Fast Charging adapter. Is fast charging my new phone (Samsung Galaxy A5 2017) bad for the battery in the long run? If I prefer the 'normal' charging, can I just use the USB-C cable with a 'normal' adapter to charge my new phone?

Welcome to Android Central.
Fast charging is designed in such a way that it should not impact your battery. If you prefer to slow charge you can generally use a normal adaptor.
