Accidentally lost Messages apps loaded on my Marshamellow Lenovo mobile. How to recover it?

I was deleting some files. Went to Apps in Settings. I deleted some apps. I do not what I have deleted related to Messages. When I went back to home and looked for messages icon it is missing. I downloaded from Play stores one messages app but is not the same that has come with the mobile. It is not to my liking also. Please help me/advise me how I can recover. Thanks.

Welcome to Android Central! You can't delete the preinstalled Messaging app, unless the phone is rooted. Open your App Drawer -- you don't see it there? Go to Settings>Apps, then tap Menu>Show System. ​Do you see it there?
