I am running Gingerbread - 2.2.2 - on my Galaxy 5 tablet. I need help in transferring photos to my pc. When I connect by USB cable, I cannot find the photos on the device. I have searched by *.jpg and, after checking the info on the photos to be transferred, by the file name of the photo. No luck in finding the photos. The info for the photo shows the file name but not the location.

I was successful initially in uploading to Dropbox but now whenever I try to transfer to Google Drive or to Dropbox, I am asked to name a txt file and the photos transfer as text files, not photos.

    Any suggestions for me? Thanks!

Welcome to Android Central! Which tablet? Gingerbread is very much out of date, so this can't be a recent device.

When you connect the device via USB, swipe down the notification panel and tap the USB icon. Is MTP selected?
