Is it possible to reverse software update on Samsung s7?

My battery life has been awful since the last software update and my phone seems to heat up when in use (not even during anything particularly intensive, just browsing). Is there a way to revert back to the previous version? My settings say it's media.codec that's using most of my battery power - is there a way I can find out what apps use this or how to disable it?

Welcome to Android Central! It might be related to a corrupted media file. If you have an SD card inserted, try going to Settings>Storage, Unmount the card, then remove it and reboot the phone. Does the same thing happen?
