So I recently got music from my lug of a computer to the lovable, portable, thing I know nothing about, my Samsung Galaxy s5. Shortly after doing so, I ran into a single problem: some of the music I had was going into the video folder, thus failing to be recognized by the default music player. Though I shouldn't, I have two conditions for a solution: no additional app is downloaded and step-by-step instructions. Thank you for even considering assistingthis picky man.

Moving the MP3 files to a more appropriate folder is easy.

Using a file browser app, maybe called "my files", browse the phone like you would browse the hard drive of your computer.
Decide where you want to put the files. My music is in a folder called "music".
If this folder does not exist, use the file browser to create it.
    Navigate to the videos folder.
Select the files you want to move.
COPY (not move) the files to the new folder.

Using your music app, play them to make sure they copied correctly.
If the music app does not see them, restart the phone to kick the indexing service into gear.

After you have verified that they all play correctly, use the file browser app to delete the old files in the videos folder.
