    Welcome. You have a couple options.

    Bluetooth - pair the phone to the computer and share the photo to the computer over Bluetooth. There is a setting on the Mac where you can choose where to save files from Bluetooth transfers.
    Android File Transfer - plug the phone into the computer after installing https://www.android.com/filetransfer/ then make sure the USB connection type is set for one of the file transfer modes (using the notification shade on the phone) and you should be able to access your pictures.
    Google Photos - make sure your photos are backing up to Google Photos. Access https://photos.google.com and you can download them from there.
