Yesterday, I was just trying to move some videos I downloaded into my SD card, so I connected my phone to the computer to try and move it manually (Ironically, I didn't have enough space to download a file manager). When I couldn't find the videos in the computer, I got tired and disconnected my phone. But when I turned it on, it was acting like the phone was still connected - I couldn't find my apps! How can I fix this problem?

    Which phone?
    Which version of android?
    Which carrier?

You started off talking about video files and ended up talking about missing apps.

Step by step, what did you do and where did things go wrong?

It seems that when putting files onto the SD card, doing a COPY-then-delete is always better than doing a MOVE due to things often not going correctly.

If the SD card is formatted as portable/external storage and not encrypted, put the SD card into a card reader attached to your computer and use an undelete program (Recuva is a good one for Windows).
