Cant unlock S7 after software update

[AC Question]

So this morning I had a software update (verizon). When update was done, I try my unlock pin , phone says I have wrong pin.
Tried pushing a new pin from android device manager, didn't work.
Try hard reset. Can't power down phone without pin.
Push a wipe from device manager. Try logging in. Get a "password has been changed, wait 24 hours" message. Anyway to circumvent the 24 wait period?

Welcome to Android Central! No, there isn't. The wait used to be 72 hours, but Google changed that somewhat recently. Did the phone actually go through the factory reset?
