    I had a pop up message iPhone is infected with a virus and to click pop up. Is this legitimate?

    Popups are rarely legit, they are usually scareware, they try to scare you into installing their app... Don't click on anything, back of of the screen and go about your business. I'll try to put your post on our sister site, iMore for better exposure..

    Hi, I'm a moderator over at iMore. Any pop up claiming that your iPhone is infected with a virus is false. The way Apple developed iOS makes it very, very difficult for a virus--or any other type of malware--to infect an iPhone. That being said, nothing is ever 100% safe.

    Check the link that @Tim1954 posted. One of the responders in that thread posted some good info, including always making sure you're running the latest version of iOS. Good luck!
