I have spent the better part off the day in chats with Samsung and Sprint reps trying to get to the bottom of what's causing my ridiculous battery drain. I was fully charged at 7.30 and just about three and a half hours later, at 7%.

I've done the ##a bunch of numbers# on the phone keypad reset, which has worked previously.

Tech support had me do a factory reset, which helped slightly.

The Sprint store said it's planned obsolescence and to bit the bullet and get a new phone. That seems crazy. This phone isn't even two years old.

    Anybody have any suggestions?

    A new phone? What? Seriously?
Charge it full, let it run down to around 30%, then look on battery stats to see what's using all that battery. If it runs down to almost zero, the battery will die very quickly, lithium batteries don't survive full discharges.
In any case, if you can't find any rogue app to be the cause, maybe a new battery at most... If you find the cause, you can uninstall or disable it.
Come back and let us know..
