Why can't I set different alert sounds for different apps?

I have a G4. It was running *very* slow so did a factory reset which fixed the problem. But now I can't seem to set different alert sounds for different apps. I formerly had a different alert sound for calendar, text, facebook, etc. Each had a different sound so I knew what was alerting without picking it up. After the factory reset I can only set one sound for everything. Any ideas are appreciated.

In each of those apps, you need to pick the sound you want for the notifications, if the individual app supports that.

Otherwise you might have previously installed an notification app whose purpose was exactly that.
