How can I get my phone to tun on and just not the LG screen.

I was looking on my phone to update my apps and it black then to the LG screen, And its been like that for a while now I've took the battery out and put the battery back in it's still like that.

Welcome to Android Central! Which LG phone? If you have an SD card, remove it and see if it still freezes like that.
