SD card suddenly starts to freeze my Note 4

A

AC Question

So I've been using this SanDisk MicroSDHC 32 gb class 4 for like 2 years almost and it worked fine until yesterday. Since the evening, the phone just started freezing, unresponsive screen, wouldn't even go past the lock screen sometimes. It took me a while to figure out it was the sd card.

It seems to work fine without the sdcard inserted. But what the hell? What am i supposed to do now?

Welcome to Android Central! SD cards can fail unexpectedly -- they should not be relied on as the only place you store important data. Go to Settings>Storage, Unmount the card, remove it, and insert it into your computer. Can the computer read these files? Backup as much as you can right now, then run chkdsk to look for bad sectors: http://forums.androidcentral.com/am...guide-using-chkdsk-fix-corrupted-sd-card.html.
