My phone says i have 4 viruses?

I was surfing chrome when an ad popped up not letting me exit out. It said I had 4 viruses and that if I didn't do something the viruses would destroy my SIM card. It told me to download an antivirus app, which I get the gut feeling was a mistake. I installed the app and it said my phone was clean after it did it's scan. I am asking now for advice, do I completely reset my phone or let it be, Just in case it was a scam?

Welcome to the forums. If you do a data clear for Chrome, that will get rid of those pop up ads.
