Was that Lolipop update a carrier-supplied OTA update? You rooted your phone so at that point all responsibility of the OS maintenance is on you. OTA updates on a rooted phone can often create a lot of different issues, consider yourself lucky it's more of a minor issue and didn't brick your Prime. In the future, be very wary in applying any OTA updates/upgrades.

In the meantime, try booting up into Recovery Mode and wiping the system cache partition. That's often a good thing to do after any kind of version upgrade anyway. If you're still having issues you might want to re-flash the ROM. (Note, Samsung devices don't require rooting to flash stock ROMs. With third-party ROMs than yes, you need to root and install a custom Recovery, like TWRP.)
