samsung galaxy j5 stuck at the startup screen after factory reset

[AC Question]

i wanted to reset my j5 (factory reset from the os) because it started to be slow, but after it shut down it got stuck on the very first screen you see when you start your phone. it's also pretty glitchy.
i'd flash it manually with odin, but i cant get it into download mode since my home button doesn't work.
