Answering a call, while in another app

[AC Question]

I have a Galaxy S7. Since the nougat update, if I'm in another app and I answer the phone call via the heads up notification, it no longer connects the call and leaves the app open. It takes me to the call screen.

I just want to answer my call AND stay in my current app...

Any help would be much appreciated!

Welcome to Android Central! If that's how the system works now, then you probably can't change it back. How about tapping the Recent Apps button to switch to the app once you've answered the call?
