Is it bad for my phone to charge fast

A

AC Question

Okay so I have a phoenix LG go phone and my friend recently gave me one of those long corded chargers with that woven stuff around in all fancy looking and it charges my phone super fast like 22 to 42 in like 20 minutes is this bad/to quick or is this average because my phone usually take about 50 minutes to do that with my old charge

If it doesn't get too hot, it's not doing harm. Too hot means you can barely touch it. I'm not a fan of fast charging personally, but there are times when it's useful

Look at the charger, the line that starts "Output". Look for the number of ma or Amps. The phone has a 1500mAh battery (or a 1.5Ah battery - same thing, different units). Unless the charger is charging at more than 1500mA, it's not going to damage anything. (The problem is that newer chargers can put out 2.5Ah [2,500mAh] and that's an overcharge for a 1,500mAh battery. Hot or not, it's going to bake the electrolyte out of the battery.)
