    My original cord got damaged, so I'm trying to find an adequate replacement. One that would put out enough power to charge it with the specifications it requires.

    You can look at old cord label. They should display the correct amp.

    If the charger can't put out as much current as the phone requires, but it puts out more current than the phone is using, all that will happen is that reaching a full charge from any given point will take longer. Unless it's a 10 year old charger, using a charger that's a bit too small won't hurt anything.
