How do I get Fit Workout to work?

I was able to access the pre-installed Fit Workout app on my Modular 45 with Android Wear 2.0 but having installed the update 2.0.0.147747791 the app no longer works. When I try to load it, the screen goes black and then returns me to the menu.

Has anyone experienced this issue and managed to resolve it?
