Why am I unable to transfer photos from my Samsung 6S+ Edge to the computer

A

AC Question

Hello

I am about to transfer all my photos from my phone onto my PC via cable connection however when I select the DCIM folder it shows that the folder is opening but it never completes.
No matter what folder I am opening it will scan but not open, this has happened to many of my friends with same model since Samsung uploaded an update for the software.
I must to say this is really annoying as the storage on my phone is running out and I am practically unable to free some space.
I downloaded Kies app to my computer hoping this will solve the issue but no help either.
Can you pls suggest a way to complete this extremely simple task?

Thanks in advance

You can also download the wonderful app from Samsung called Samsung Smart Switch. You could back up everything tip your PC. However, to your initial question, when you connect your galaxy to your PC: 1. Turn on Developers Options 2. Make sure the device driver gets installed when you connect to the PC 3. When connected, swipe down for the notification screen, and make sure the USB is set for either MTP or file transfer.
