Will files created on a Rooted Device show on a Non - Rooted Device

AC Question

I recently had to Transfer an SD Card from my Old (POS) Asus TF700T that was Rooted to my New Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 (Non Rooted) .... but it Seems that Some Files are Missing ... will Files created on a Rooted Device not be able to be Accessed on a Non - Rooted Device ???

Yes, file system is the same. But on rooted device you might create those files as a root and not accessible for other users.


Easiest way - you can open the access to everybody
adb shell cdmod 666 <your file name>

Or what is better, change the user to correct one (Users ID must match). You should check what users you have on your unrooted.
adb shell cdown <user>:<group> <your file name>
