How to have different apps on different devices?

Can i have different apps on different devices? I downloaded android device manager but i cant see any option to control what apps stay on which device.

When you sign into Google Play,use a different Email on each device jondoe1@___.com, jondoe2@___.com this way each device is. different but the same.
