Faint watermark picture in bkg

Hey,
For a while, I've had this faint background on my phone screen that looks like a what's app convo screen. I don't know how to get rid of it. It's there on all the apps I use, it's there on the Internet app, and it's there when I change my actual background. I've attached a screenshot of my screen to help show it. If you look closely you can see the black screen and the little smiley icon beside it. I don't know how to remove it. Please help. It's really annoying tbh.

Sounds a bit like burn in. Do you have your screen on fire long periods when you chat on whatsap?

I guess so. I'm always on that app. And when I talk especially in chats and stuff it's usually for a long time period.

It might be that then. Not much you can do short of replacing the LCD. Perhaps not have the screen turned up too bright and shorten time out to prevent worsening..
