On my LGMS210 Aristo, what does it mean that the sd card is "ejected?"

1) I recorded a LOT of video at a town hall meeting, maxed out ALL the storage on my phone and card, then the "ejected" message, and that my sd card is "portable". ?
2) Recommended best backup/storage/accessibility for my pics and videos [ie: Google Drive? Take back(sic)?], and how do I move them to free up space? I've deleted a few minor apps in order just to navigate. Thanks in advance for the help! :)

1. From what it sounds like, the card was unmounted from the phone. Did this happen on it's own?

2. Google Photos. You get unlimited space for your pictures as long as you leave some of the default settings alone. You can change the upload to wifi only and it won't affect anything. I believe this also applies to video. There is an option in the main menu of Photos to free up space on your device. This deletes your local copy while retaining the cloud copy.
