Why does it say "no number" everytime i try to call someone?

Hello guys! my mother wants me to transfer my contacts from her note 3 to her galaxy s6 edge plus. I've managed to do this but not all the contacts were imported and for sum reason when i would try to call them it would say "no number" is there a particular reason for this or am i just being stupid?

How did you transfer the contacts? Did you use Smart Switch? Are the contacts saved to the local Phone account, or to her Google account? If the latter, they should easily sync to the new phone as soon as she logs into it with her Google account (which is the beauty of keeping your contacts saved to the Google account).
