    Hi everyone,

Since last night, I'm not able to turn on my Moto G 3rd gen and I would like to recover my files which should be saved on the SD card.
However, I think that when I installed the SD card I set it as internal storage: from what I'm understanding, although this "expanded" the memory of my phone, now I cannot see the content of the card from my computer (I tried with windows, linux and mac and none of the system could recognized the file system and show me the content of the SD card).
Is there a workaround to recover those files?

    Thank you very much
    M

Welcome to Android Central! I'm afraid not. When you format an SD card as Internal Storage, the card gets encrypted by the phone, and the key can only be read by that phone (and that "instance" of the phone -- so if you do a factory reset, that key is lost, and so is the data on the card). This is one of the several pitfalls of Adoptable Storage.
