This morning my phone powered off and attempted to restart, but did not get beyond the "LG Life's Good" screen. At the bottom of the screen is the phrase "Powered by Android". I can't turn it off unless I remove the battery. 5 minutes later I replace the battery, and the same thing happens. After the first time it happened, it suddenly came on around an hour later. Then, this afternoon it happened again, and it is still stuck at the initial screen. It's less than 2 years old, and the battery is, or was fully charged. Any recommendations would be appreciated.

Your device is stuck in what is called a "boot loop". This means your devices NAND/firmware has become corrupt. My best advice is to research "LG G4 boot loop fix". This thread on XDA Developers may be able to help you.
