Got a message to install an update with problems for 'a security reason' but doesn't say what reason. Recommends backing up all data in case it wipes it all. Surely that can't be right? Have postponed the update. Cant add screen shot - update doesn't have a name but improves stability and compatability with galaxy gear. Says if it crashes whilst downloading I can use kies to download it. Should I click install? It lets me postpone but not delete the download.

Go to settings... About device... Software updates... Update now... If it shows up there, it's legit.
    Never trust popups.

I have received the same update. But I cannot get rid of the notification at the top of my Samsung.

I tried the advice from Tim1954 to : Go to settings... About device... Software updates... Update now..

But this update is not showing under that link so how can I delete the notification. It just sits pending at the top of my phone.
Concerned it may try to download at some point.
