how to change the setup on the first screen?

[AC Question]

I was in a rush one day and when i tried to do something i changed the first screen you get when you unlock the phone. The screens have totally changed- the colour of the background, where the icons are, how to get to them- I think i have somehow changed the 'provider' if that makes sense?? I'm tempted to use the factory reset button but am scared I'll lose all my photos and contacts etc. The phone has been playing up sincethis happened too
