    I have a galaxy note 3 with T-mobile.

Yesterday, text messages that were sent from my wife were opening a separate conversation, meaning messages that I was sending were in one conversation with her number, and messages she was sending were in a different conversation with the same number. Today, the same problem from yesterday is occurring, except text messages that she is sending are being deleted as soon as I go to read them. This issue is not effecting messages from anyone else.

I was using the android messaging app from google, and tried switching back to the default messaging app with no luck. I have tried closing and re-opening both apps, clearing the data and cache for both apps, deleting all conversations with her in both apps, as well as un-installing and re-installing the google messenger app, but none of these methods have fixed the issue.

I am hoping that someone else has a solution other than a factory reset, if anyone has seen or heard of this issue, or has any other ideas other than what I have tried, please let me know.
