So, I just flung my Moto Z Play across the room, by accident. I picked it up, and saw it was cracked like a spider web in the upper right corner of the phone. The touch screen is working but its black. I can use my fingerprint and everything but its pitch black. I took it to Best Buy (Geek Squad) and they said I have to replace the LCD screen and it will MOST LIKELY erase all my data. I'm really sad about it. So will the repair guys erase all the data, or is there another way? ;(

I can't see why it would. Unglue LCD, Glue on new LCD... Shouldn't be touching anything on the device short of turning on to see that it works.
I'd get a second opinion on that. You can find on YouTube how to do it and they don't erase any data!
In any case, back important stuff up, take out SD (if it has one) and sim before you hand it over..
