how do I change ringtone for my contacts and one different for unknown callers?

Most likely you will need set the default ringtone to the what you want for the "unknown" callers, the set the ringtone to something else for each of your contacts.

If your contact app supports "groups", you may be able to set the ringtone for a group, then assign all the contacts to that group.
