Why do ya'll keep saying that you can't bring your own unlocked phone to Verizon??

I went into Best Buy and bought a Moto G5 Plus popped in a Verizon sim card changed network settings and BINGO!! LTE 4G!!

Welcome to Android Central! It used to be harder to bring unlocked phones to Verizon (several years ago), but they have made it generally easier. In addition, more unlocked phones support CDMA -- in the past, many unlocked phones were GSM only, which meant they couldn't connect to Verizon's CDMA network for voice calls.
