I've noticed that after I delete a text message they sometimes stay on my phone, stored in an unknown location. For example, I'll enter a contact I want to text and previously deleted messages will show up in the text window. Also, when using AirDroid, I noticed that there were a few messages I deleted a while back (when hitting the Messages icon). I tried to delete them in the AirDroid browser tab, but it won't delete messages past Android OS 4.4 (I'm running 6.0.1).

Does anyone know where these messages are located on the phone, and how I can delete them permanently? Also, how do I prevent this from happening in the future?

    Thanks,
    -Adam
