Is there a higher AHr battery of the same form factor for replacement of SAMUNG S-III battery [ Model# EB- L1G6LLA] ; is this same as EB- L1G6LLU ?

The older replaceable ones you could get huge batteries for. I don't know any numbers any more but eBay will have many options. Battery world (Australia) used to be where I'd get mine from..

Be wary of non-OEM batteries, just be judicious in researching whatever you buy has a solid, reliable history. If possible, just pick up an OEM battery along with an external battery pack.
(Also keep in mind that with the S3 the NFS chip is in the battery, not the phone body itself so if you rely on any NFS functionality be sure to get an Samsung OEM, or a third-party battery that specifically states it's included.)

That is all good advice there. Perhaps he doesn't ever use NFC based stuff..
Also I used to just get the really fat batteries not from Samsung and I never had a fail or mishap...
