Battery causing loading loop?

[AC Question]

I've started using an external battery charger for my Samsung Galaxy S5 because my charger port is not working. I have my old battery, which my phone is working fine with, and the brand new battery which I used for a couple of hours and then charged to full. But once I put in back into my phone, it won't get past the Samsung logo stage and keeps reloading it. This doesn't happen with my other battery though!! Did I overcharge the new battery? Is there a way to fix it?
