Android Auto not talking to me

[AC Question]

I'm using Android Auto natively (not supported by my car). It used to work - when I wanted to send a text, I would say "Send message to .." and it would ask me what the message was, read it back, etc. Now when I say "Send message..", it doesn't talk to me at all. It just sits there with the blinking lights.

I tried doing the same thing with Android Auto on my phone in the house, and it talks to me just fine. But in the car, it will no longer give me voice commands. Any ideas on what I can try?

Try forgetting the car and pairing it again...
