Phone stops working once charger disconnected

[AC Question]

Hi. I have an samsung s6 edge for about 2 years now never had any problems. Sometimes it would heat up but still worked. Took my phone of charge with being 100% an the phone completely goes off.. goes onto the samsung screen when powered on but then it turns off again an goes from being 100% to around 70%. Works fine with the charger plugged in an does come on without it but turns off straight away. Could anyone recommend what I should do? Thanks

Sounds like the battery needs replaced
